We obtain our >> Fatty alcohol sulfates of coconut oil << through a reaction of the fatty alcohol (derived from coconut oil) 

with sulfuric trioxide (SO3).

Note: This is not an ethoxylation process. Cleanut does not contain, unlike many other "green"  soaps, potentially dangerous ethoxylated ingredients.

Fatty alcohol sulfates are completely biodegradable. They are, from an ecological perspective, more favorable than corresponding products derived from petroleum. Fatty alcohol sulfate based on coconut oil, when compared with a petrochemical product, has a 70% lower consumption of fossil resources, a 50% lower air pollution during production and the amount of waste produced is also reduced by 15%.
